An Invitation to Experience Greece

This Isn't Just Another Trip to Greece.

Imagine sailing across the brilliant blue Aegean on a private catamaran, wandering through charming villages, enjoying long lunches, and laughing with new friends over dinner.

Now imagine experiencing it all without having to plan the details.

This is an intimate, personally hosted Greek island escape created for travelers who want more than sightseeing. It's about incredible places, meaningful connections, and memories that stay with you long after you return home.

THE EXPERIENCES THAT MAKE THIS TRIP EXTRAORDINARY

"From ancient wonders to unforgettable island adventures, every experience has been thoughtfully selected to help you discover the magic of Greece."

Rooftop Welcome & Farewell Cocktail and light fare Gatherings

Your Cyclades adventure opens and closes on the rooftop of your hotel, with the Acropolis rising over the city skyline. Chilled wine is poured as everyone gathers, alongside a generous spread of finger food from the hotel kitchen.  As the evening deepens, the floodlit monument glows gold over Athens, and the whole trip suddenly feels real.

Private Guided Acropolis & Museum Experience

There is a moment, halfway up the marble steps, when the Parthenon rises above you, and everything you have ever seen of it in photographs turns out to have been a rehearsal.

Below the rock spreads the Areopagus, the bare outcrop of stone where the oldest council in Athens sat in judgment centuries before the Parthenon rose above it, and beyond it the whole city opens out toward the sea.

The tour is private, which means the pace, the questions and the time spent lingering anywhere are entirely yours.

Naxos from the water Private Island Sailing

A Private Catamaran, a Full Day, and Nowhere to Be! The best swimming around Naxos is not at the end of a road. It is in the bays you reach only by sea, where the water turns from deep blue to pale turquoise over the sand and there is nobody else anchored. For a full day the catamaran is yours alone, with a crew that knows which coves are calm on the day and a deck wide enough to spread out on.

  • Swimming and snorkeling stops in bays reachable only by sea

  • A traditional lunch served on deck at anchor, with local wine, beer and raki

  • Coffee and homemade cookies on departure, appetizers, and fresh fruit salad

Group Evening Dining Experiences in Naxos and Paros

  • Naxos is the most fertile island in the Cyclades, and it eats like one. The set menu is built on what the island grows and makes: its celebrated cheeses, its famous potatoes, fresh vegetables, and slow-cooked dishes rooted in generations of family recipes. Plates arrive to share, Greek style, and the table never stays empty for long.

  • In Paros, the set menu is built on what Paros does best: local cheeses, garden vegetables, home-style dishes cooked the way island families have cooked them for generations, and the sea never far from the menu. Plates arrive to share, Greek style, and the evening unfolds at the easy island pace.

Saint Anna Winery Tasting

We will walk through the olive grove, the vineyard, and the aromatic herb garden to a ninth-century chapel, then step into an almost 100-year-old Cycladic winery to taste five of the estate’s wines, including their natural sweet wines made from sun-dried grapes, served with cheeses, tomatoes, and olives from the family’s own organic garden.

Private tour of Paros with Lunch

Paros at Its Own Pace: Hill Villages, Fishing Harbors, and Lunch by the Sea

The real Paros begins where the ports end. In a single day, this private tour takes you from marble-paved mountain lanes to the quiet fishing harbors of the east and south coasts, the side of the island most visitors never reach, with a long lunch by the water along the way.

Lefkes, the Village in the Hills
The journey climbs through Kostos to Lefkes, built inland among the hills in the centuries when pirates ruled the Aegean coast. With your guide, you walk its narrow marble lanes, past whitewashed houses, neoclassical mansions, and small squares with views that run all the way down to the sea.

Fishing Harbors and Golden Sand
From the hills, the route turns east to Piso Livadi, where the fishing boats bring in the catch that supplies the local tavernas. It continues south past Golden Beach, one of the great windsurfing spots of the Aegean, and on through the seaside villages of the southeast coast.

Lunch at the Water’s Edge
Midway through the day, the table is set at a traditional seaside taverna, with the boats moored a few steps away. Plates of local specialties arrive to share, Greek style, and lunch unfolds at the unhurried island pace before the road leads back.

Private tour of Naxos  with Lunch

The Soul of Naxos: One Island, Four Villages, One Long Meal

Naxos does not give itself away at the port. The island that matters is inland and uphill, in marble-paved villages where the same families have been making cheese, wine and citron for generations. This private tour puts the guidebook down and goes from village to village with a local guide, eating a different course of one meal in each of them.

Where It Begins

The day opens at the Kouros, the colossal unfinished archaic statue that lay in a garden for centuries before local farmers came across it. He is still there, flat on his back, enormous and unfinished, and he sets the tone for everything that follows: an island that has been quietly getting on with its own life for three thousand years.

Starters in a Village Nobody Visits

The first stop is a small village off the usual route, where homemade starters come to the table. Local pie, tiganites, the Greek donuts fried and drizzled on the spot, a spread of Naxian honeys to taste, and herbal drinks made from what grows on the hillsides.

The Main Course at Apeiranthos

The road then climbs past the marble quarries, with the whole island opening up below, to Apeiranthos. This is the most striking village on Naxos, built in marble, medieval in layout, and still speaking its own dialect. Here comes the main course, a Naxian dish of meat with the island's famous potatoes, a seasonal salad, and cheese paired with wine.

Dessert and Citron at Chalki

Chalki was the island's capital, and it holds a distillery more than a century old where kitron, the citrus liqueur unique to Naxos, is still produced. You taste it where it is made, and dessert is galaktoboureko, the custard pie, prepared locally. From there the road runs back down to the coast.

ATHENS
Ancient Wonders &  Vibrant City

Step into the magic of Athens, a city where thousands of years of history blend beautifully with the energy of modern Greek life. Wander through charming cobblestone streets, discover hidden cafés and boutique shops, and admire breathtaking views of the iconic Acropolis rising above the city.

Explore lively neighborhoods filled with colorful buildings, inviting tavernas, and rooftop restaurants offering unforgettable sunset views.

Athens is a city that awakens your senses. Whether you're strolling through the picturesque streets of Plaka, savoring authentic Greek dishes, or enjoying an evening beneath the illuminated Acropolis, every corner of Athens offers something extraordinary.

NAXOS
Crystal-Blue Waters & Hidden Treasures

Naxos is the largest and greenest of the Cyclades!

The long sandy beaches of the west coast run from Agios Prokopios down past Agia Anna and Plaka.

Inland, the island changes completely. Marble-paved Apeiranthos and Filoti sit on the slopes of Mount Zas,  the highest peak in the Cyclades, and the village of Halki still distills kitron, the citrus liqueur made nowhere else in the world.

Naxos Town, where the Portara, the great marble gateway of an unfinished temple of Apollo, frames the sunset over the harbor, and the lanes below the Venetian Kastro come alive as the light fades.

PAROS
Seaside Charm & Sunset Memories

Paros has a way of slowing everything down....

Naoussa, the island’s most beautiful harbor town,  is quaint with fishing boats moored beneath the ruins of its small Venetian castle and tavernas set right at the water’s edge.

Close by lie the sculpted granite boulders of Kolympithres, where the sea has carved natural pools between the rocks, and Paros Park, a protected headland of walking trails, quiet coves, and a lighthouse that catches the last of the evening light.

On the west coast, Parikia keeps the Panagia Ekatontapyliani, the Church of a Hundred Doors, whose origins reach back to the 4th century.

We're not just planning your trip to Greece... we're coming along for the fun!

Hi! I'm  Rhonda, the face behind Travel with Rhonda and Wind Chime Travels, and I am SO excited about this adventure!

If there's one thing I love, it's bringing people together to experience amazing places, try new things, share lots of laughs, and make memories they'll be talking about for years.

I'm a certified travel agent, and with my background as a PMP and CPA, you can probably guess that I love having all the details organized and ensure we have an amazing itinerary for the budget! But while I take the planning seriously, I believe the best vacations are the ones where you can relax, have fun, and enjoy the unexpected little moments along the way.

Now Meet Your Hosts!

Rhonda & Ben — Your Partners in Adventure!

And then there's  Ben—my partner in adventure! He'll be joining me as we explore Greece, enjoy some incredible food, take in those beautiful island views, and hopefully share plenty of laughs with all of you.

What makes this trip especially exciting to me is that we're keeping it small and personal. With just 14 guests joining us, we'll have the chance to really get to know one another. Whether we're sailing the Aegean, wandering through charming Greek villages, or sitting around a dinner table sharing stories, I want this to feel more like traveling with friends than being part of a tour group.

We've planned some truly incredible experiences, but we've also left plenty of time for you to slow down, relax, and enjoy Greece your way.

My hope? That you'll arrive excited about seeing Greece and leave with amazing memories, new friendships, and a whole lot of stories to tell.

So whether we've known each other for years or haven't met yet, I hope you'll come along!

Greece is calling, and Ben and I can't wait to experience it with you!

See you in Greece!

Rhonda & Ben 💙
